< Back to Day 2 ————– Forward to day 4 >
Visit to Niagara Falls
As the trip to Niagara was cancelled on the 27th, the hotel managed to get us a limousine and driver to take us to Niagara Falls the following day. We would have all day there and no idea what or where to shoot, but we are resourceful and spent the morning photographing the Horseshoe falls on the Canadian side and also visited the Niagara Falls Park Power Station to walk the 2,200 feet along the tunnel to the viewing platform to see the falls from lower down.
After lunch, we asked the driver to take us to Goat Island, which is on the the US side of the falls. This involved crossing the Rainbow Bridge across the river, going through the US Immigration and Customs point before we arrived in the Goat Island car park. We spent around 2 hours exploring and taking more photos from this side, before going back across the bridge and through Canadian Immigration and Customs to go back to Canada. We were only delayed about 30 minuets in each direction. We took some more photos from the Canadian side and then we then asked the driver to take us to the Floral Clock and then back to our Hotel. It was a great day and we have some great memories of Niagara.
