We picked up a Renault Clio hire car from the airport and drove to Yaiza to pick up the Villa keys from the Hotelito el Campo where the Villa owner was working. As we were slightly early to pick up the keys, we stopped and had a delicious pizza for lunch in the Hotel Restaurant.
When the owner was ready, we followed him to Playa Blanca where the Villa is situated. It was not where we expected it to be from the map on Booking.Com, we were a bit disappointed, however it was not too far from the coast and a very nice place to stay. The villa was very clean and tidy and had secure on site parking and an unheated swimming pool.
There were great views of the Montaña Roja from poolside in the back garden and we also experienced out first fabulous Lanzarote sunset.
