Back to California Gallery Page <——————–>Next to Day 3
Our 2nd day in San Francisco found us riding on a cable car again and then walking to find a bus to take us to the Golden Gate Park. Once in the Park we had to walk again as the free shuttle bus only ran at weekends and holidays! From the Park we took a taxi to the Palace of Fine Arts. We then took a short walk to the Marina and from there to the Ferry Building and Oakland Bay Bridge, before taking a cable car ride back to the Hotel.

Bison in the Bison Paddock. Bison have been kept in the park since 1890 and by 1918 the herd had grown to 30. Today there are only 7 left in the herd.
