Day 3 saw us up bright and early to board a minibus trip to Yosemite National Park with Best Bay Area Tours. The 15 seater bus picked us up outside the hotel at 06:30 and we were driven by our tour guide to Yosemite arriving at the park gate at 10:50. We then proceeded to the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias. After a mile walk down to the grove and back up, we got back on the bus to go to Tunnel View Vista Point for some spectacular views. We then drove on to see the Bridalveil Falls and El Capitan followed by the Yosemite Falls and Half Dome rock were we had lunch. We then had some free time to wander before setting off back to San Francisco, arriving back at the hotel at 21:00.

Another magnificent specimen
This sequoia fell and has been left to show how large they are. It is hollow and children and small adults are able to crawl though it.
This is the root end of the tree and shows how shallow the root system is.

Bridalveil Fall is one of the most prominent waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley. The waterfall is 188 metres in height and flows year round.
El Capitan is a vertical rock formation located on the north side of Yosemite Valley, near its western end. The granite monolith is about 3,000 feet from base to summit along its tallest face, and is a popular objective for rock climbers.
Half Dome. One side is a sheer face while the other three sides are smooth and round, making it appear like a dome cut in half.
Yosemite Falls. This is a three level fall, the first and third level are shown, the second level is hidden behind some rocks.
