Back to California Gallery Page <—————->Next to Day 12
After breakfast, we left the hotel and ventured into the Sant Monica Mountains and ended up at the Anthony C. Beilenson Interagency Visitor Centre. We were looking to see if there was anywhere we could drive and park to photograph some scenery. Unfortunately nearly all the trails were for walkers and we were quite tired after all the travelling, so we headed back to Malibu for some lunch in the ‘Jack In The Box Burger Bar’ (opposite Malibu pier). Parking was a problem as it was quite expensive having to pay for a minimum of 4 hours. We parked in the Jack In The Box car park and went in for a burger. After we had eaten, I stayed in the restaurant and Carole went out and onto the pier to get some photos. When she returned, we headed back to the hotel and decided to have a rest afternoon.
In the evening we tried to get to Santa Monica Pier for the sunset, but again parking was a problem and we ended up on Venice beach about half a mile from the pier, however, I did manage a couple of shots of the pier and the sunset.
