We had a spare morning so we walked from the hotel to 5th Avenue to photograph the Flat Iron Building. It was covered in scaffolding and has been for some time. In the evening we took the Staten Island Ferry as a group to photograph the skyline and the Statue of Liberty as we sailed past.

We arrived by subway ready to board the ferry to see the sunset from the boat.This is the Ferry Boat we used, The Dorothy Day, named in honour of the co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, who lived on Staten Island.
