Before we left Morro Bay, we visited the rock in the State Park. We then headed south visiting Mission San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Guadalupe, Solvang and then onto Malibu.

Morro Rock, a volcanic plug in Morro Bay State Park 
Morro Rock, where the rocks were quarried on and off from 1889 to 1969, provided material for the breakwater of Morro Bay. It is now a California Historical Landmark 821.
