Back to California Gallery Page <——————->Next to Day 2
Our first full day in San Francisco. Riding on the famous cable cars, visiting Lombard Street, having lunch at the Exploratorium at Pier 15. After lunch we walked to Fisherman’s Wharf, took photos of Alcatraz and had cakes in Boudin bakery. We then walked to Pier 39 to see the seals and ended up at the Golden Gate Bridge before taking a cable car back to the Hotel.

The operators controls. The big lever is used to ‘grab’ the running cable under the car. The other levers and pedal operate the brakes (pieces of wood rubbing on the ground)
